I received a call from my regional office saying he was instructed by the secretary to call me and update me on my appeal that it is now certified and in the BVAs hands. So now I'll call the BVA as annoying as it sounds I don't wait for it to sit I get them to tell me why. This is my second appeal certified in two years at the BVA my first one I won...

hypertension Hypertension Secondary to Chronic Pain
Hello All! I was notified that some day I will be receiving a letter to go to Washington for a hearing for my appeal. I filed for hypertension secondary to chronic pain. Here is a synopsis... Leading up to my first surgery in 1994 done by the Army. I was told to come into the aide station to have my blood pressure recorded. Being a dumb 21 year old Airborne Infantryman I didn't think nothing of it. I went, my pressure was high and it was logged in my medical records. I had my spinal fusion to correct a parachuting accident. Mar 1994, I was discharged because the fusion didn't work. Right before, back to the aide station for blood pressure check-ups. I didn'…

Move up on docket
My daughter has been diagnosed with ms, fybromaldia, and few more diseases, which are all auto immune . She has been applying for Sadi for two yrs now maybe a little longer. She has no income, because if she works she is automatically denied the ssdi. She is on obama care, and was just sent something saying if she had no proof of income the Obamacare would go up about 100 percent. Sadi is almost as slow on moving as va. We cannot let her ins lap. She had a relaps last yr in April and one this yr. each time a nurse comes out and does a med infusion for three days. She is on twice as many meds as me and my husband put together. We pay her co pays now, she has ha…

Received my VA letter, it says they're planning to reduce, letter contains no useful information. What now?
First things first: It wasn't a large yellow packet, it was a normal-sized white envelope with 4 pages inside, only 1 of which was actually correspondence. Is this normal for a denial/reduction? Or should I be expecting another envelope? So I posted a week back (post is here). I filed for an increase, but I got a letter from the DAV that the VA plans to reduce two of the ratings I applied for an increase on. I finally got a letter from the VA this morning. 1. Reactive Arthritis - 60% to 10% 2. Facial scar - 10% to 0% Except the letter contains no details whatsoever. The entire relevant portion is "We have reviewed medical records concerning your servic…

NOW,,, IF SOMEONE TOLD YOU THAT YOU CAN WIN WITH THE DRO THEN OK BUT,,,, YOU ARE ONLY SMART TO TO SIGN THE I9 PUSHING IT TO BOARD OF VETERANS APPEALS., REASON IS,,,, ONCE YOU DO THAT THE RO WILL SAY OH xxxx,,,, THEN THEY WILL PUSH FOR ALL OF TYPES OF HEARINGS BUT AT SAME TIME KEEP YOUR PLACE ON DOCKET. SO,, SAY F-U TO DRO REVIEW THEN FILE YOUR FORM 9 AND LET THE RO DEAL WITH YOU AS YOU ASK FOR A PRINT OUT OF YOUR SUBSTANTIATED APPEAL. THIS WORKS FOLKS.. THATS WHY IM SAYING IT... THE ABSOLUTE MAI…

Contact infor sec.of VA?
To make a long story short. I've been waiting around for a decision on a appeal for 6 years now. Last year I was able to contact Mr. Robert McDonald through email and his office was able to get the ball rolling on my appeal. I was scheduled for my exams last year and was told that I should be have a decision before the end of the year. Well it's been about 6 months since my exams and I haven't heard anything since. Was wondering if anyone had the email to the new Secretary of Veterans Affairs?

SSOC
Do you normally get a SSOC again after I had an appeal pending since August with a hardship flagged on my claim and appeal? I had the denial which stated the reason on the denial which is why my attorney filed my appeal. I know they argued they say evidence that for months the doctors were all wrong and I had no neck fracture or skull fracture as they called it with my 6 months i the hospital. But then they denied my DVT in my legs that clearly was there and was on narcotics until I was made able to walk again and made weight bearing. My claim is in the Prep for a decision were the doctor opined that my hip fractures were service connected yet another piece which confined…

tdiu I'm Over This *&^%$#
So I received my final decision from the BVA which granted me TDIU which states that my effective date is June 2016 which I strongly disagree no surprise there huh!!!!!!!!!!!!!. My question to the elders on this beloved sight is what should I do. I mean the judge I guess tried to pay me back to my original claim date in 2002 but the evidence did not support staged ratings or extra scheduler rating. She used in my favor a statement dated in June 2004 made by a VA doctor stating that my coronary artery disease solely kept me from working and maintaining gainful employment. That she said outweighed the recent opinion from the C&P examiner made in June 2016. Now my total…

I may have delayed my own claims
So my intial claim i somehow forgot to claim my two hip fractures but I claimed my Deep Vein Thrombosis caused from being confined to a bed for a couple months because of my hip fracture but the VA denied my claim for DVT causing me to appeal it. 2016 I paging through my medical record and see why exactly I was confined to a bed well the reason why I never put anything together is because I was in a coma for those two months my hip was broken and then a short time after that until I was made weight bearing. Basically the 1 cause of DVT is being confined to a bed and I was just serviced connected for the broken hip. With my appeal still not even certified should I opt out …

Ready To Hire Attorney - Who Do Y'all Recommend?
OK Folks, Been a while since I posted on here, but I've been lurking and reading. After receiving my SOC on several conditions, and being informed by the Houston VARO that they will be sending an SSOC within the week, I think it's time that I hire somebody a good bit smarter than I am, and who can navigate the BVA system. I ran the gambit myself for the most part, obtaining all of my military medical and personnel records from NPRC when the VA said they couldn't find anything, getting an IME/IMO from Dr. Ellis in Oklahoma, an IMO from Dr David Anaise in Arizona, an IMO from my oncologist of the past 18 years, and a bundle and a half of my civilian treatment rec…
