For months now my psych. Dr. has been telling me I am severely depressed. I am presently 70% SC for Depression, so I requested my VSO too put in for an increase. I asked the VSO if I was increased to 100% for depression would I qualify for SMC-S as I would still have other disabilities rateable adding up to 60% or more. Other than the 70% for depression I have 50%,40%,30% 20%,20%, 1.3% for bilateral. VSO said No, you must have single disability rateable at 60% by itself too qualify for S, Is this true? Thank you, David

in 2005 I was granted tdiu 100% sc p/t. cad 60% sc, and five others rated at 10% sc. when I was awarded this (1) should they have filed for smc etc. at this time? (2) if they should have filed, can I go back and request for them to back date it? Thanks!!!

Is this normal? I was granted ED on appeal, with a 0% rating, but there is no mention of SMC in my rating decision. I posted it in general claims, not realizing there was an SMC subfora, so here is the link:

I know everyone says SMC is confusing and I am joining that crowd. Here's my question: 1. I am IU for a single disability; in addition, I am 2. Cystocele/Rectocele - 50% Depression - 50% Do my two other disabilities qualify me for 100% + 60% = SMC (s)? I've seen the question elsewhere but couldn't determine the answer.... Thanks, Sheila

I have 100% on a single rating for PTSD. I have 10% on GERD and others. {increase to 60% if i should} I have 20% on my back {My goal is to try to increase % on my back if i should} I have 10% on right lower extremity I have 10% on my ankle I have 10% on my hand TOTAL: 100% P&T on all of them. Should I continue to do more claims to increase, and add more new claims related to combat related? I plan on trying to increase GERD to 60%, and I plan on trying to get headaches 50% aiming to that percentage, migraines 50%, and tinnitus added 10% if i need to after 100% PT already. I also have others that is labeled 0% as service co…

I've been 100% P&T with 70% PTSD since 2010 and I'm wondering if I qualify for any type of SMC. My total rating if I add everything up is 240%, but I know it's not calculated by just taking everything and adding them up. It doesn't speak to SMC in my award letter or rating decision either, which is why I'm asking this question. Thank you

Hello, I am new to this site and am here hope to find help w/my claim as the VA/VBA will not help me. I am aware I can finish filing things myself so that is what I would like to do. I am out of AF on MEB/TDRL for PTSD, Fibromyalgia, Migraine HA's. combined compensable at 80% but can only draw 75% under title 10 chptr 61 as I have only 7yrs 2mnth `5days of AD service. I also had to waive that as I am unable to draw concurrent receipt unless congress passes laws in Nov 2010. GOD willing. My PTSD is Combat Related and am going through TDRL eval currently and having Migraine HA's and TBI that I have had since 04 but never examined nor identified while in AD after hea…
