Inquiry Regarding Expectations for Reapplying to VR&E for Vocational Training (Esthetician
I have a question regarding the process of reapplying for VR&E (Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment) assistance, specifically related to attending vocational training, specifically an esthetician course. I would greatly appreciate any insights or experiences you could share. My query is: What should I expect when requesting to reapply for VR&E assistance to pursue vocational training, particularly in an esthetician course? Does VR&E generally cover the costs associated with such training programs? I understand that the policies and guidelines of VR&E can vary, and each case is evaluated individually. However, I am interested in hearing about…

Counselor says IU gets removed once VRE is granted
Howdy yall. I am so confused right now. I am 100% TDIU and I had a meeting with the counselor today and he told me that as soon as they grant my VRE that I will lose my IU. I've searched high and low for threads here and reddit and just the internet in general and I cannot find anyone saying that you will immediately lose your IU by being granted VRE. I totally understand losing it after getting back to work, but losing it just to go to training seems odd. I asked if there was a CFR and he mentioned looking into it. Any links to this regulation? I'm at a complete loss for words. I was blindsided by this, on my birthday no less.

VocRehab Self Employment Experiences
Any recent experiences with VocRehab Self Employment or advice? I know they call it something different, and did read Krause's old posts I completed VocRehab and am unable to find a job. I've had a State counselor, sent a search log to my VocRehab Monthly. The new VocRehab Counselor refuses to respond to emails, except to perhaps answer 'received, thanks' seldomly. I'd like to open a little shop, and think buying tooling and a heat-treat/annealing oven. I can do a business plan, no problem. I do plan on having a Cong Rep file, as I already know they'll put it in the 'forget' file. Any experiences or advice on Self Employment? Thanks in advance

In home ILP assessment questions presented to me
Today I received a listing of 82 questions from the guy who was assigned to do my ILP in home assessment. He also wanted me to list all my disabilities explain what each condiiton means , and provide the rating. The last part should already be available to him thru the va. Anyway has any one receive or answered these types of question for an ILP. I think some questions are too personal for this program. I think these are his questions, they are not on a va form. I think they should be asking questions that actually pertians to the veteran, not a listing of generic questions, which do not apply to all veteaans. See the attached. I tried to block out the guys nam…

ILP was approved
Its been a few years since I have posted anything, I am trying to stay busy and keep good thoughts. On 16 May 2020, I had a face to face meeting with an ILP counselor. This was my first contact, when I arrived home, there was an email saying I was accepted to the program. I know by expierence this really means nothing. They have no choice but to take me into the program, since I have 2 100% ratings, and a TDIU. ( Yes I have been busy accumulating ratings) In the past under this program I did not have much luck. In 1999, they gave me a cheap E-Machine computer, and printer with a few classes. In 2005 they kept stringing me along for two years,, and finally drop…

BAH/Stipend rate for Online classes counting as physical extended until DEC 2021
Per VA directive- if any of you are on Voc Rehab education and getting a stipend/BAH- the coronavirus modification that made your online classes remain paid as physical classes that was supposed to expire in Dec2020 has been extended to DEC 20201. I think this also counts for the Job assistance payments you get after graduating while looking for a job (normally 2 months) extended to 4 months. 5202.Extensions of certain provisions of law (a)Extension of Student Veteran Coronavirus Response Act of 2020 Section 2 of the Student Veteran Coronavirus Response Act of 2020 (Public Law 116–140) is amended by striking December 21, 2020 and inserting December 21, 2021. …
