Initial appointment for independent living assessment
What can I expect from this meeting for ILP? I tried to do my homework on this but it was really vague! I have read ASKNOD’s posts but I don’t know what to ask for to help me around the house! I have steps that I thought I would ask for handrails to help me hold on to. I was thinking of also asking for jets to be installed in our tub since I know I would be turned down for a walk in tub. It would be difficult to get in but the water jets would be an incentive for me to try.

Voc Rehab Denial opinion from Counselor
Hello everyone, I’ve been reading about VR and the effects it has on TDIU. Recently I applied for VR and after the class and paperwork I talked with the VRC about my SC disabilities and how they affect my ability to work. She told me that it appeared that I wouldn’t benefit from VR and that I couldn’t even attempt to start my own business with my drone and Ariel photography. I left feeling down on myself because what the heck was I going to do then! She said to contact her in a few days to talk about IL opinion. When I contacted her she said she would have to wait to get my PCP to agree with her decision! Is this normal? Is it up to my PCP to agree with her in order to re…

Can someone clarify a couple of M28R, and CFR's for voc rehab
I need some input regarding a few regs. I returned to school last fall through VR&E, but was put on an IEEP because of a diagnosis of PTSD 8 years ago and rated 100% for it. I am a senior graduating in December and have always been a 4.0 GPA student. At the end of the semester, my new case manager decided that she was not going to fund my last semester (spring 2018, that I just finished) and i ended up paying for it out of my pocket. I was also put infront of a panel who a few weeks later made a "recomendation" (read mandated) for futher evaluations, neuropsychological evaluation, anger management skills group, and mental health counseling. I asked for an admin review…

Independent living ILP finally accepted, making a plan?
I finally have a VRE counselor who came to my home and talked with me for a bit. I was sent over to the VA occupational therapist to go over some items that may be helpful to me. This is the list: adaptive cutting board, rocker knife, jar opener tool, lighter weight pots and pans, handheld shower head and shower chair I had made some suggestions such as an adjustable bed, comfort mattress, electric pressure cooker, vitamix, car cushions, massage chair None of the items i suggested were approved as they were not medically justifiable, i have fibromyalgia with constant back pain and fatigue, i spend 90% of my time in bed, the VRE counselor said she can only make a pl…

unable to start anything
So I tried doing the Voc rehab and after 6 months of not stating a program she said well we can do an extended evaluation for another 6 months which filed again by not starting anything. Now I am 100% P and T scheduler now and now have to expect my dream job is over and need to move on. But to what can I do, this is not a direct answer question and now having my rating permanent and total, I just want to know how to pass my days not being a couch potato or fixated on a smart phone like the zombies do at my local Diner. Other then this VA claim BS it consumed my last 7 years until its almost right with just two appeals that mean nothing but an earlier effective date and a…

tdiu Program graduate
If I graduate from a Voc program I know I'll lose my TDIU? But will I just go back to 90% since its work that isn't strenuous to my TBI residuals? I spend 6 years getting TDIU and now I realize I might not be able to survive on the income alone it could just be my anxiety but I don't want to put my family out of our home so I have to push myself to do something .
