My son has 19.5 years in the AF and is being medical board retired due to his depression. He was told his VA rating would be deducted from his RETIREMENT,and that part would not be taxed. So I am asking for him, is this true? Also is there any suggestions on what he should go about this. I have told him to get copies of all his med records even from his private Dr. ANY help would be appreciated. thanks, worried dad

I tried to create an account, but couldn't get past those dang silly letters for the security part. So I managed to create an account using facebook. So I can only enter Hadit by signing into facebook, which I find to be quite the pain in the @......... How can I sign into Hadit without connecting with facebook? Thx.

I have a question about changing my profile. I think once upon a time I left the section on Service Connected Disability blank. But the last time I changed something it required that I enter something in that space. It won't let me put widow there. It says correct answers are None or 0 - 100%. I tried again tonight to put Widow and it won't accept that answer. Is there any way to change that?

Knowledgeable people who don’t have time to read all posts may skip yours if your need isn’t clear in the title. I don’t read all posts every login and will gravitate towards those I have more info on. Use paragraphs instead of one massive, rambling introduction or story.
Again – Make it easy for others to help. If your question is buried in a monster paragraph, there are fewer who will investigate to dig it out.
How To Post
Post a clear title like
‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery” instead of ‘I have a question."
This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial of your claim?”
Note:
Your first posts on the board may be delayed before they appear as they are reviewed. The review requirement will usually be removed by the 6th post. However, we reserve the right to keep anyone on moderator preview.
This process allows us to remove spam and other junk posts before hitting the board. We want to keep the focus on VA Claims, and this helps us do that.
