Received Development Letter For Gws/gwi
Hello, all thanks for all the continuing advice and support. I'm not sure to let the VSO thread this together or what. Most of this is my SMR and PCP. For various issues listed in the presumptive list. I can bullet point each item and point them and date and symptom I guess which would be the most efficient. For example: Symptom date SMR/PCP/ETC Symptom date SMR/PCP/ETC Symptom date SMR/PCP/ETC Symptom date SMR/PCP/ETC Symptom date SMR/PCP/ETC Symptom date SMR/PCP/ETC Thoughts? I know there is a list to work from but might not have or chronic any but all here and there over the years. This is Page 4 of the letter I received and I got some notes jot…

Gulf War Illness C&p Exam Question?
I recently under went a Gulf War Illness C & P Exam. I filed the claim based on the impressions that a VA Examiner found on a Gulf War Registry Examination. The impressions were: 1. Irritable Bowel Syndrome- Condition currently diagnosed treated by private doctor. 2. Cervical Degenerative Disk Disease with radiculopathy 3. Thoracic Outlet Syndrome 4. Sacroilac Pain/lower back Medical evidence was submitted with the claim ie. MRI demonstrating herniated disc at C5-C6. In addition the C6-C7 levels are fairly degenerated with mild to moderate bilateral narrowing, noted by Neurosurgeon. My question is if the if the C and P Examiner writes such comments …

First Vso Meeting
Hello all, We had our first VSO meeting to start the claim process. So this will be my official start date I guess. Also, claimed for GWI/GWS for a few of the symptoms that I had not thought of and thought best to add all I could think of or what is my SMR etc. and PCP's. I've been reading here for a few weeks learning, noting, and quite frankly you'all make me proud! Keep up the great work of supporting each other! Spearhead91

Fibromyalgia Which I Am Rated 40% And After Finishing A Sleep Study It Was Determined I Have Cfs
I have fibromyalgia which I am rated 40% and after finishing a sleep study it was determined I have CFS. I plan on filing for CFS but have issues with Migraines. I was denied migraines before because they were only listed on my post separation physical. Since then I have tried everything under the sun. From acupuncture, Botox and many different medications. All of which failed. How is it that people are stating they can be related to Fibromyalgia? Is there any medical evidence that supports this or any BVA's that granted service connection as secondary to Fibro.

Gw Exam
Howdy, I've got a GW exam in a few weeks, and was wondering if there's anything I should know before going in? Also, does bringing in pre-filled DBQs help? I know they'll use their own, but I've read on here from multiple posters that the VA often skimps on these and doesn't always accurately document the conditions. By bringing in pre-filled forms I was hoping to just hand them a copy as we went through the questions so that there's no room for miscommunication. Thanks

Burn Pits
VA called me to verify my deployments. Apparently they have to manually enter me into their system for Burn Pit registry. I've had issues with fatigue ever since I came home but never received a diagnosis for chronic fatigue syndrome, which I'm hearing is linked to the burn pits. I'm also hearing that these registries haven't been doing anything for veterans. What is the point of having a registry if you're not helping the veteran? Is it so they don't have to compensate for illnesses linked to these burn pits? Am I missing something with this?

Fibro/cfs Pyramiding?
I was on a different forum, reading about Gulf War Illness when I found this post. Has anyone heard this? Doesn't sound right to me, unless they have changed the policy/law or whatever. im trying to understand my recent rating decision, i was connected 40 percent for fibro. i had a nod in for ibs and cfs. the dro gave me 30 percent for ibs and just attached cfs to the fibro and left it at 40 percent so now my rating says 40 percent for CFS with fibromyalgia and 30 percent for ibs combined for 60 percent. has anyone had this happen to them? i thought they would rate the cfs and fibro seperate. the fibro and the ibs i am taking meds for. the cfs they…

4 Ways To Find Military Exposures A O/ G W S
Years ago when I was doing my own research on my medical health, I contacted the Institute of Medicine (IOM) for as much information they could help me with and this is what they sent me. I was just cleaning my PC and thought that this may help other veterans. Of course there is a lot more on the site but I think this is a good start. http://www.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/ http://www.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/vaccinations-medications.asp http://www.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/gulfwar/sources/vaccinations.asp Hope this helps
