Gwi
From what I read it seems that your conditions for any of the presumptive conditions under GWI must have manifested by 1 year from your ETS. Even if you fit that critera, does that mean you have to fill within a year of your ETS? I have several of the conditions that started within the year timeframe, but just learned about them being presumptive...

Va Whistle Blower
Whistle-blower says VA ignored data that could have helped suicidal, sick veterans By John Roberts Published March 13, 2013 | FoxNews.com The highest-level whistle-blower ever to come forward at the Department of Veterans Affairs is leveling accusations of serious ethical lapses, claiming an agency intentionally manipulated and suppressed data which resulted in veterans -- particularly suicidal veterans -- being denied critical care. The whistle-blower, Steven Coughlin, was a senior epidemiologist at the VA and lead author on two of the biggest studies the VA has conducted on veterans of the Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan wars. His claims concern the VA's Office of Publi…

Report Looks At Gulf War Ailments
A new scientific paper presents evidence that nerve agents released by the bombing of Iraqi chemical weapons depots just before the ground combat of the 1991 Persian Gulf war began could have carried downwind and fallen on American troops staged in Saudi Arabia. The paper tries to rebut the longstanding Pentagon position, supported by many scientists, that neurotoxins, particularly sarin gas, could not have carried far enough to sicken American forces. An abstract of the paper is available on the Journal of Neuro-Epidemiology website.

ptsd A Shot To Cure Ptsd?
Found this article on PTSD treatment on Fox News. From what I understand the treatment is not new, just the intended result. "The cost of the injection is approximately $1,000 and is fully covered by [Dr. Lipov's] non-profit Chicago Medical Innovations." Dr. Eugene Lipov, medical director of Advanced Pain Centers in Chicago, said the procedure works in 70 percent of patients, and they show at least 50 percent improvement in symptoms. However, note that the study size is very small. This article talks about the existing use of the same treatment for other conditions such as pain from cancer and other syndromes. Personally I'm very interested, but I'll wa…
