ptsd Weight Loss Without Etiology?
Has anyone ever filed a claim for weight loss without etiology? I have been going through lots of medical issues for the past several years. but as of late I have been loosing weight and the doctors can not explain why. I was weighing 179 and now I go back and fourth from 135 to 145. I lost the weight in about three months and have not been able to be able to gain it back in the past year. I complained to my doctor about a year ago when the problem started and the first thing she said was quote "You have PTSD and Major Depression are you taking your medications". I got mad and requested a new doctor at the VA. The first thing he did was look and see I complained about bl…

For Pennsylvania Vets (Compensation Thru State, Non-Fed)
Was not for sure where to put this as it really is not for "ILLINESS" and it does not fall under VA Compensation, so please move where it may serve the community better. Just read this, do not know much more than this. But, apparently if you served in the Gulf War theater and your home was Pennsylvania they (Pennsylvania) have a compensation program for you. Sweet deal if what I am reading is correct, but time is running out for the program. http://www.milvet.state.pa.us/DMVA/Docs_BVA//PGVB/persgulffinal.pdf

I Emailed Bob And The Wheels Started Turning The Right Way!
"MR. Secretary, I am writing this to ask your help in a situation. In June I filed multiple claims, including Chronic Fatigue SYNDROME (closest thing on claims drop down) and joint/muscle pain. I also claimed sleep apnea and headaches increase (which were both resolved favorably). During exam VA Dr stated that sleep apnea was caused by exposure to toxins during gulf war. He also states in the same report that I have chronic fatigue and random joint/muscle pain which are undiagnosed illnesses and were at least as likely as not caused by the same exposure. These two were deferred. VRO apparently contacted va Dr and asked if I had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and C…

Finally Went To Va About Fibromyalgia
So after about a year and a half of feeling like shit, I stumbled on the fibromyalgia discussion on this forum. Long story short, I was convinced that I should seek treatment at the VA hospital. I had my first appointment late December. Told the doctor (actually a nurse practitioner) about the constant and widespread pain, stiffness, depression, fatigue, and memory/concentration problems. She didn't seem to be paying much attention as I talked to her, and she even took a long phone call in the middle of my appointment. Then we spent an inordinate amount of time talking about how I should quit using tobacco (I agreed to the nicotine gum just to get the discussion back …
