tdiu Ab8 Letter 100% P&t But No Chap 35?
Looks like all my contentions except TDIU were denied (as far as I can tell from AB8 letter). I'll know more when I get the BBE. For now, my question has to do with the new AB8 letter. It says outright that I am considered totally and permanently disabled at 90% but paid at 100% rate because of unemployability. It is my understanding my dependents qualify for Chapter 35 at 100% P&T, but I can't find a letter that verifies this. Any suggestions? Is that something that only comes with the decision letter and is not available to print out from eBeneies (Inquiring college students want to know :-) )

Can Someone Decifer This?
I have never used ebenefits before because they were not allowing survivors to use this feature but the VA recently sent me a letter telling me I could enroll so I did. Easy enough to use but I am not familiar with ebenny 'talk' They confirm my 2 issues Then the tabs state: Someone prepared a decision..forget what they actually said there, then I quote "A final award approval is granted upon the review of the recommended decision" then someone was reviewing the decision for accuracy , on next tab and then it says the decision is in the mail It appears to involve both of my pending claims Then it says: "All Documents This table shows the evid…

Is Bva Site Broke Too
I used it OK this AM then started getting this message as soon as I filled out the search feature there.: "The requested URL was rejected. Please contact the National Service Desk to have a ticket created at 1-855-673-4357 or email vansoc@va.gov to have a ticket created and properly escalated for review. Please make sure to include the entire Support ID number. Your support ID is: 3486123309661960281 Appliance name: gwwwaf1" ????? I don't need a "ticket" from the VA , unless it is a ticket to Bermuda.

Is Ebenefits The Next "healthcare.gov" Scandal?
Hi folks... I'm not well connected, so maybe someone with more experience and an inside track to the VA's public affairs angle could give some balance to my rant below. Sometimes not having all the facts can cloud one's understanding :-) If you've been using eBenefits regularly the past few years, you know what an important tool it can be for veterans to file claims, follow their progress and access key resources. Unfortunately, we all know it has not been very reliable over the past several months. I personally love the new features and re-design, but I'd gladly welcome the return of the old site IF they could make it reliable. EBENEFITS IS DOWN AGAIN! The proble…

Claim Closed And Ab8 Letter Says 100%
I retired from the USAF with 24 yrs of service due to back, knee and multiple other issues verses being forced out due to not being able to run. I had a lot of concerns about the VA and then I stumbled on to this website. Although I had not posted very much I have been reviewing all the forums for about 2 years. I filled under the BBD program in July 2014 with an official retirment date of 1 Sept. I have been looking at E Benifits about once a week for the past couple of months to see my status jump back and forth many times then on 8 Feb it jumped to prep for decesion. So I started checking everyday no change until I checked on 15 Feb and to my amazement my claim wa…

Is Anyone Having Issues Accessing Documents, Claim Status, And Other Personal Information?
I was just curious to see if anyone is having issues seeing their documents, claim status, and benefits explorer. I can log into eBenefits just fine but cannot access any information that is personal in nature. I was able to log in yesterday morning and noticed that my claim status had been updated to "preparation for notification" and then everything kinda just went blank. Hopefully that means they are updating my info but wanted to see, mainly, if anyone else was having these difficulties. Thanks for your reply. Brad

Va Letter From Ebenefits...question
I was able to download a letter from eBenefits. My question is am I now eligible, according to this letter, to apply for property tax relief for the purchase of a home, receive commissary privileges, etc.? This letter is a summary of benefits you currently receive from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We are providing this letter to disabled Veterans to use in applying for benefits such as state or local property or vehicle tax relief, civil service preference, to obtain housing entitlements, free or reduced state park annual memberships, or any other program or entitlement in which verification of VA benefits is required. Please safeguard this import…
