ptsd C&p Needs Clarification What Does This Mean?
ok the file went from prep for decision to gathering evidence. Here is why and what does this mean? Does this mean they will deny me benefits completely? COMPENSATION AND PENSION EXAMINATION REPORT (FREE TEXT) ======================================================= REQUEST Previous examiner provided a level of occupational and social impairment of: Occupational and social impairment with deficiencies in most areas, such as work, school, family relations, judgment, thinking and/or mood; however it was reported that 60% was attributed to PTSD and 40% was attributed to biploar disorder. This is not sufficient for rating purposes. Please provide the veteran's level of oc…

Did you get a flawed C & P exam-what you can do
You can immediately ask for a different doctor to do the exam. When I say 'flawed', I mean the examiner did not have the expertise to opine on your claim, or the doctor did not have any of your medical records, to include SMRs in many cases, or the doctor failed to consider any other probative evidence that you moght have brought with you to the C & P yet the doctor didn't want to see it--- or the examiner LIED. There are probably many more reasons why an exam can be flawed. This AM I received a call from OAWP-VA-DC, as to the ongoing investigation they are doing based on my other complaint . I have more evidence to send to them-we went…

VA Social Worker suicide in VA office,I have lost faith in PTSD recovery program
I put this on the C&P forum because I have a 5 yr reevaluation for my TDIU for PTSD coming up in the next few months. But, here is the story. I was taken into the VA mental health program by a former employer and after a year and a half of therapy every week I was granted and increase from my 30% PTSD and 50% overall disability rating. I was awarded TDIU with a 70% PTSD rating. I continued my weekly group, bi weekly individual therapy and every 3 month psychiatrist visits for 3 yrs. I saw marginal success in my recovery and had come to the conclusion that it is what it is and I would probably have difficulty for the rest of my life. Then this happened. Whe…

PTSD C & P exam
i looked up my C &. P exam for PTSD. One section states Occupational and social impairment due to mild or transient symptoms which decrease work efficiency and ability to perform occupational tasks only during periods of significant stress, or symptoms controlled by continuos medication does this sentence make it an automatic 10% or could the listed symptoms make the rating higher? symptoms listed are anxiety, suspiciousness, chronic sleep impairment, difficulty in establishing and maintaining effective work and social relationships, and difficulty in adapting to stressful circumstances (including work or a worklike setting thoughts? C&P tomorrow for PTSD increase/Unemployability through QTC
I have a C&P tomorrow, and honestly am terrified. my anxiety, for the last few days, has gone through the roof contemplating the exam. When I'm like this, I get so freaked out, I can't think straight and freeze up. I can't express what i need to explain to the examiner about the symptoms i deal with on a daily basis. My question is, are we allowed to write statements on what you experience ?, that way I can at least rest knowing that I said everything that i need to say, without being under stress and anxiety so much. Also, is it a good idea to bring a copy of your C-file for their review ? Has anyone had their C&P for PTSD through QTC ? What was your experience ?…

DBQs No Longer Available Online
VA has removed all the DBQs from their website with this statement at the end of the page: "VBA has discontinued the use of public facing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs). Originally, public facing DBQs were designed to assist Veterans living overseas to obtain medical evidence in support of their benefit claims where limited options were available. Today, VA works with contracted providers in more than 30 foreign countries to conduct disability medical examinations." I monitor a Veteran's facebook page and often refer veterans to the DBQs for their conditions. In some cases, it is to download and have their doctor fill out a copy; in others, it is so a …

PTSD (Personal Trauma) Claim changed to GAD
I put in a claim twice for PTSD Personal Trauma and both times they changed it to GAD increase. So my C&P exams are schedule for GAD increase and not PTSD. I just had an exam today and the examiner stated it was for GAD and not PTSD which I was so confused. I called the VA and told them, I was scheduled for something I did not put a claim in for. Now they are researching as to why it was changed. Has this happened to anyone else? I was diagnosed with PTSD by my Therapist/Phychiatrist for over a few years now and I am having such a difficult time with compensation. Any suggestions on what to do next?
