Will QTC tell VA my Medical Sleep Apnea Diagnosis with Medical Records
Hi, One of the issues in my first claim filed Feb 23, is sleep apnea. I have a pretty good relationship (email) with my congressman's office and have finally got C&P exams scheduled for my last ~5 claim things. QTC called me to schedule a phone interview to talk about my sleep apnea. The lady on the phone said since I already have a diagnosis and a CPAP I can email her my medical record and she will cancel my phone appointment. I did email her my reocrds. What will happen at the VA now, will QTC tell them I already have a sleep apnea diagnosis? Thanks!! Sam

C&P exam wasn’t listed?
Greetings to all and hope all is well. Recently I’ve been granted service connection for tbi from the BVA this year and had to attend 3 exams after. All 3 was in regards to my tbi which the exams were for ptsd, tbi, & migraines. After all my evaluations the VA decided to combine my tbi with ptsd which didn’t change my overall % and only gave me 10% for tbi. When I read my letter it only mentioned 2 exams and not the one for migraines, why are the residuals of tbi which are migraines missing from the letter? It’s not even mentioned or anything and only talks about tbi & ptsd. To be proactive I decided to of course appeal and put in for a higher level revi…

Has this happened before, VA denies claim with a service connected C&P
Good day all, Been fighting some claims since 2018. Filed as secondaries to PTSD. I currently have my 3rd in person C&P thursday with QTC, 4th was ACE review. This is due to a HLR duty to assist error. My denial notice (denied in one week) from Oct 2022 indicated one claim was split and ongoing, other 2 were denied. Denial was based on a VA Medical Center medical opinion that was more "persuasive" than Dr. Todd Finnerty's IMO. VA medical center search, blue button, VA reginal office, and FOIA didn't turn up this phantom VAMC medical opinion (not listed in evidence). So filed HLR, and have new C&P exam (QTC) Thursday. Two days ago, I was filing away…

C&P Exam QTC Doctor didn't turn in results
Hi Everyone 😀 I filed my claim in February and did my mental health C&P exam in March with a QTC doctor. I have been checking on the status with the VA and thought it was slow... trying to be patient. I guess I didn't understand the VA was saying that they hadn't received my C&P exam results. So in June when the VA told me explicitly, the VA said I had to call QTC to find them myself. Apparently, QTC could not get a hold of the Dr and sent me a letter that they would be doing a desk review of submitted medical records (VA and civilian?). Is that ok? Will this help or hurt me you think? I feel annoyed that the VA didn't figure this out. Thanks!…

PTSD and Gambling
Hello, I am currently rated at 70% for PTSD and have a gambling addiction due to my anxiety and depression and gambling numbs my emotions but is having a heavy toll on my family and life. I have blocked myself at casinos but online casinos are very easy to access I want to stop gambling and wanted to see if the VA offers this type of support? Also, does the VA give ratings on gambling addiction? I really want to stop but am so depressed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

VA Claim Deferred After C&P for IMO and Higher Evaluation?
Hi, new to the forum and thank you in advance if you can provide any insight. I talked to the VA today because I was confused about my claim, they approved part of my claim and deferred the other half of it. I searched a lot of post here and being deferred is normal for the va, but what confused me was why they deferred it. The reason they deferred my TBI was because they wanted a IMO (independent medical opinion) and also flagged my TBI and major depression for higher evaluation and entitlement. I had a C&P for both of these months ago, plus many pages from C file and from tricare to support my claim. My questions are: - I though you h…

C&P for new and increase claim
Just had my C&P exam today for an increase for headaches rated at 10%. I believe I can get 50% but we will see. I provided my headache log and medications and medical records. The doctor only asked a few questions and stated this was pretty straight forward. My new claim was for asthma. Based on the new PACT Act we are guaranteed service connection. This one requires a PFT test. I have medical records showing my treatments but my concern is I fall under the 60% rating but I don’t have the daily medical other than using my inhaler. This may drop me to the 30%. May have to go back for an increase after I go back to doctor. I am hoping for the higher r…

What would you do? C/P QTC medical?
I just received two letters from QTC Medical. They never contacted me by phone to set up any appointments. Yet they have scheduled two appointment in a local strip mall. I called them and told them I would not attend any appointments, they did not call me and if they had I would have told them I do not do appointments with VA contractors. They always screw something up, and takes a year or more to get a copy of the exam. I told them if the va wants me to do an appointment the va needs to call me and set it up at the local VA. No more contractors for me. Also he wanted more personal information from me, and I would not give him anything except the account number on the…

BVA REMAND C&P
I have been dealing with a BVA for 3 issues since 2018,original claim 2009. A VARO rated left knee at 10% woth SNRA. I filed a NOD because Seronegative Rheumatoid Arthritis is a chronic disease, and they should have rated RESIDUALS. I have attended 3 C&P exams for this BVA, and they asked for an additional exam 5 days after I attended the last one. I called them and said "NO, this is ridiculous". They said they were dismissing the remand. Contacted Senators office and asked what the hell? I went to an exam, but apparently the examiner did not answer 3 of the 25 questions, so they told me if I do not attend another exam for the 3 additional questions, they wi…

Found access to examiners filled out DBQ's
I am still active duty so I dont know if this will work for everyone but I was able to download my C&P examiners DBQ's that they filled out from Tricare Online. They are located in the Health Record section under the documents portion. I don't know if this is for everyone or just those doing a BDD claim but I wanted to share this either way and I haven't seen anyone else post this information.
