VES C&P Records Review, something isn't right
Okay, to catch you up first. On June 1st this year, I had an in person C&P through LHI which seemed to go pretty well. On June 3rd, I received an email from VES stating that a C&P had been requested by VA from them even before the LHI C&P posted their result on June 6th (my brother was at a VA symposium in Washington DC during that time and saw the day it was posted but of course, was not allowed to see the results). On June 15th, I received a hard copy of a letter stating that the 2nd C&P was a "records review only" and that I would not have to attend an appointment. Now, here is the "fishy" part. I was able to log into my VES account today and see t…

ACE C&P exams
This is ironic, On monday I was called by the VA from a Lady to do an ACE C/P exam. You know the one were they call you after reviewing your medical records and ask you a few questions about the conditiion. In this case the VA had already done an ACE exam, two years ago, the case was returned to the local level by the BVA, so they are doing the same thing all over again. Today, if you can believe it, I was called for another ACE exam, this was for a new issue, in fact the only issue in the system except the one menitioned above. I claimed GERD , secondary to my COPD medications, I received a call for a lady at the VA ( Caller ID) and asked me to verify my birthda…

I just had a third C&P because somebody did't read my records. Who else has had this happen?
As of today a third C&P was supposedly completed by VES. Apparently, the VA requested it due to the MD at VES stating a "pre-existing condition" when clearly, there is none ever on record. I went into the service straight out of being a military dependent. I just recently learned that not only are my military records being reviewed but my dependent records are also made available. The VA apparantly questioned the MD's report and had a third C&P records review done which apparantly was yesterday. My claim in process is about a surgery in the military for a fairly simple procedure to unblock a ureter that was obviously botched. (I spent 17 years as a surgical assist…

What would you do? C/P QTC medical?
I just received two letters from QTC Medical. They never contacted me by phone to set up any appointments. Yet they have scheduled two appointment in a local strip mall. I called them and told them I would not attend any appointments, they did not call me and if they had I would have told them I do not do appointments with VA contractors. They always screw something up, and takes a year or more to get a copy of the exam. I told them if the va wants me to do an appointment the va needs to call me and set it up at the local VA. No more contractors for me. Also he wanted more personal information from me, and I would not give him anything except the account number on the…

VES Records Review C&P Question
Recently I posted a question about receiving a records review only from VES. Today I received a call from VES stating that my exam will be a phone call instead of just a records review. In speaking to the VES agent she asked me to fax a copy of my sleep study, the prescription for the CPAP and a copy of the IMO over to the Dr. that's going to be calling me. Is it common for the VA not to send documentation over to the contractors, because I don't understand how the VA can set you up for a C&P with an outside entity and not give them the paperwork that I sent them.

Lumber Secondary Condition to thorasic.
Hello fellow Vets! I am currently at 70% rating total. Last updated in 2020. T10-T12 – Disc herniation – 20% Lower left radiculopathy – 20% Right lower extremity – 20% Depressive disorder (secondary to back pain) – 30% I have some questions. I continue to get worse back pain and its becoming increasing more difficult to sit for any period of time to do my day job. I also have developed lumbar disc problems now. I had once read that spinal issues can be connected. Would it be worthwhile to submit a claim for the lumbar as secondary? Any advice on how to be successful? Any advice on if my current rated conditions could be in…

VES Records Review C&P
Hi Everyone I recently submitted a claim for OSA secondary to PTSD, i logged in to the VES website and it says that my exam is this Friday which is the 24th. They are saying that my exam is a records review only no in person or virtual is required for the exam. I wanted to know does the VA send the contract examiner copies of my IMO, sleep study and prescription for my CPAP. I've never had a C&P like this before and I wanted to get some insight on what to expect.

I am puzzled why I may have to do a 2nd C&P on a very defined and obvious claim.
My claim is pretty definitive. I had a surgery in service for a kidney issue. For 39 years, I thought all was good from the surgery until during a cancer CT anual exam, I find out that that kidney had "died" through the years as a result of a bad procedure/bad technique/ or inept surgeon. I did my itent to file in 2020 and filed in 2021 and thanks to the COVID government shutdown, had to wait. On 1 June 2022 I was able to finally do a C&P (LHI) that I actually left feeling fairly comfortable with. On 6 June 2022, I get an email alledgely from VBA saying that I needed a C&P to support my claim and it listed Veteran Evaluation Service (with contact information) and …
