Lumber Secondary Condition to thorasic.
Hello fellow Vets! I am currently at 70% rating total. Last updated in 2020. T10-T12 – Disc herniation – 20% Lower left radiculopathy – 20% Right lower extremity – 20% Depressive disorder (secondary to back pain) – 30% I have some questions. I continue to get worse back pain and its becoming increasing more difficult to sit for any period of time to do my day job. I also have developed lumbar disc problems now. I had once read that spinal issues can be connected. Would it be worthwhile to submit a claim for the lumbar as secondary? Any advice on how to be successful? Any advice on if my current rated conditions could be in…

VES Records Review C&P
Hi Everyone I recently submitted a claim for OSA secondary to PTSD, i logged in to the VES website and it says that my exam is this Friday which is the 24th. They are saying that my exam is a records review only no in person or virtual is required for the exam. I wanted to know does the VA send the contract examiner copies of my IMO, sleep study and prescription for my CPAP. I've never had a C&P like this before and I wanted to get some insight on what to expect.

I am puzzled why I may have to do a 2nd C&P on a very defined and obvious claim.
My claim is pretty definitive. I had a surgery in service for a kidney issue. For 39 years, I thought all was good from the surgery until during a cancer CT anual exam, I find out that that kidney had "died" through the years as a result of a bad procedure/bad technique/ or inept surgeon. I did my itent to file in 2020 and filed in 2021 and thanks to the COVID government shutdown, had to wait. On 1 June 2022 I was able to finally do a C&P (LHI) that I actually left feeling fairly comfortable with. On 6 June 2022, I get an email alledgely from VBA saying that I needed a C&P to support my claim and it listed Veteran Evaluation Service (with contact information) and …

Bipolar C&P Exam Today
I had a C&P exam this morning for an increase to my bipolar rating. I wanted to share my experience. It was a telehealth appointment. My first appointment was canceled, which was very fortunate because I was not prepared. I spent the time before the new appointment researching what to expect and the best way to approach the exam. I decided to make a page with a detailed list of my symptoms and a separate page with issues that I wanted to discuss. When the exam started I told the doctor that I was worried about forgetting something and that I had made notes as a reminder. She said that was a great idea and let me refer to my notes after every question. When s…

More LHI venting
OK here to vent again. I've had some crappy appointments setup from LHI but this one is the worst. When you fill out online in your account it asks if you are willing to travel more than 50 miles. I of course said no to this. Well I got my voicemail from them today. Out of state over 2 hours away and 109 miles. WTF. Really? I do not understand. This is for a hearing test and I can google probably 30 places within 20-30 minutes from where I live. I wish I could talk to someone higher about this stuff. Venting over. Thanks

Is there a way to get the VA to discipline a lying C&P examiner?
I know the difference between opinions and facts and making a mistake with fact. This isn't about getting them to change the opinions. I love them because they are such clear BS and what they hung their hat on was an obvious error that has been retracted. I have an NP & a Neuro, working as a team for LHI in San Diego. They "recently" did C&P's the reports/dbq's are laughingly transparent attempts to cause claim denial. The NP even argued that a clearly charted MD's dx of solvent poisoning was speculation and claimed the corpsmen who didn't pay attention to his dx were right in "diagnosing" it as flu. This A-hole took the bizarre step of referring to stat…

Example of Private Dr opinion that is probably (more than) adequate- Obesity/OSA
Okay guys and girls, gather round the fire. This is a bit of a read, but THIS is the best private doctor submitted opinion ive come across while ive been 'on the inside'. Most of the ones I see are a paragraph or two, wishy washing around about the condition, and the doctors opinion- with no WHY, other than "Im the doctor, and I examined them and this is why I think so.....". That doesn't really cut it. Yes, I know that C and P docs don't do anything this extensive, either, most of the time, and I can't defend that either, but this particular condition that they are claiming is already thorny, and its 'by way of' another caused by an SC disability. For those…
