Gulf War Registry Results-Got A Letter From Va-What Next?
Hey folks- New to the forum, here. USMC retiree, currently at 70% disability, 60% for compensation. I have not had much difficulty with claims and such after reading all the posts-it's been pretty cut and dry for me and I've gotten fantastic service @ VA. However, I have been struggling with chronic fatigue, joint pain, rash, memory loss, etc since Persian Gulf (also did OIF). I told the Gulf War rep @ my VA, and he said I needed to do a GW Registry Exam. I did. I just got a letter back from the VA that states: "The examination is complete. Based on this exam we found: Following conditions which have been found to be presumptively secondary to Gulf War Ser…

ptsd Odd C&p Exam
I had my C&P Exam this morning. A couple of things I found odd. First things first, the examiner told me I HAVE to be seen by the VA, pertaining to my claims of GWI. Am I missing something here? I have my own Primary Care Provider, and submitted documented evidence. #2 he questioned my rash claim, as if it seemed like he was trying to discount my claims. Granted, I had no irashes during my appointment. Once again, this is documented through my Primary Care Provider. I had an awkward feeling, so I had asked him for a copy of my Gulf War Registry Exam I had taken almost 4 years ago. So I go to med records and get them. My claims arent any different today than what th…

http://thescoopblog....sarin-gas.html/ Two scientific studies link Gulf War Illnesses to U.S. bombing of Iraqi ammo dump that released toxic sarin gas A Dallas epidemiologist and a military intelligence expert have published scientific studies that attribute Gulf War Illness to a Jan. 18, 1991, U.S. bombing raid on an Iraqi ammunition dump. The studies concluded that a plume of sarin gas, a toxic nerve agent, rose from the dump and was carried by the wind to contaminate thousands of U.S. troops. The studies, published together in the journal Neuroepidemiology, were conducted by James Tuite, a former U.S. Secret Service Agent and U.S. Senate investigator, and D…

Gwv Toxic Chem Sc Death Award (Nvlsp)
This claim was denied 8 times! To include multiple CAVC appeals: “A Persian Gulf War veteran passed away from brain cancer in 1998 at the age of 40. After his death, the veteran's widow pursued a claim for service connected benefits. She claimed that her husband's brain cancer resulted from being exposed to toxic chemicals during his Gulf War service. The local VA regional office erroneously denied her claim eight times over a period of fifteen years. These denials were erroneous because the VA did not obtain an adequate medical opinion as to whether the toxic chemicals helped cause the veteran's death. The Board of Veterans' Appeals (BVA) affirmed the erroneous de…

Looking For A Doctor In Austin, Tx Area
I had a good doc that I've been seeing for years in New Braunfels for GWI as well as standard medical issues. But "Obamacare" has pushed her over the edge and she retired. It was ~100-mile round trip drive but worth it to me because she took a special interest in GWI. Does anyone have a doctor in the Austin area that they can recommend?
