Iraq vet Burn pit/ Oil fire award
https://www.va.gov/vetapp16/Files6/1645861.txt This is the same form of cancer I posted a link to in the AO forum today to clarify John Mc Claim's cancer as described by Ben Krause. Glioblastoma is not a presumptive to AO regulations or to Gulf War regulations. However, evidence is everything as the widow in the AO link and this veteran, as well, succeeded. NOTHING is Impossible. This vet had solid and proactive representation from their vet rep-------.........something we usually have to do for ourselves.

Getting ready to file
I have been gathering my evidence and records to get ready to file for Gulf War Illness, trying to get it done before my year from retiring. Im trying to do a FDCI think Im pretty covered. My question is, should I file for Gulf War Illness and put the other conditions as secondary, such as IBS, etc...or should I file each diagnoses separately and hit the box that says it was caused by a Gulf War hazard?

FIBROMYALGIA
So I am a GW veteran with service in southwest Asia Persian Gulf area. I have been out of service since 2004. I have had muscle and joint pain symptoms of Fibro over the past few years and was just recently diagnosis by a VA rheumatologist with Fibromyalgia. I have no documentation of this condition or related symptoms in my STR, unless TMJ joint pain systems would be a consideration? My question: since I didn't have any symptoms of Fibro on active duty, can I file a claim as "Fibromyalgia presumptive to service in the Gulf War/southwest Asia"? WOULD APPRECIATE ANY GUIDANCE!

Presumptive Period for Manifestation of Disability Under 38 CFR 3.317
All, I was just scrolling thru the "M21-1 Changes By Date" on the KnowVA site and came across the below info for the new GW Presumptive date. I thought I would share. The presumptive period for manifestation of qualifying chronic disability under 38 CFR 3.317 begins on the date following last performance of active military, naval, or air service in the Southwest Asia theater of operations during the GW, and extends through December 31, 2021.

what is SMC for being legally blind in both eyes?
To begin, I claimed glaucoma and optic atrophy on my disability claim. In January 2016, my private eye doctor of 15 years, informed that I was legally blind. He filled out the VA Disability Questionnaire and indicated that in both eyes I have severe glaucoma, severe vision field loss, cataracts, and optical atrophy. In September 2016, I my decision response from the VA and says glaucoma was denied, no evidence in service treatment records, VA, and private medical records. Yet, for optical atrophy, it was denied but indicates that my service treatment records shows that optical atrophy was evidenced and manifested in the military service but no evidenced in VA or privat…
