New Rx For Me

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

I saw my VA shrink yesterday - she is basically just MH Medication

Management for me, I see someone else for therapy.

We talked about my nightmares.

She has written a script that VA will mail to me next week.

I don't remember the name of it now but she said this RX was

originally developed to in someway (I don't know what) help

the male prostate, but as a side effect it is helpful for PTSD.

She said I will get the usual RX info with it. She also said she

is going to start me out on a VERY low dose as there is a contra-indication

in RXing this to me.

The drug can also have a side-effect of lowering blood pressure

and as I am already a cardiac patient (CHF) she doesn't

want my BP dropping too much.

Anyone know what this drug might be or know something about this ?

Also, for MH I am already on Remeron (Mertazipine), Seroquel (Quetiapine) and Clonazepam.

Thanks,

carlie

Originally it was for enlarged prostrate, has a narcotic in it, as well as acetometaphine and caffeine. Now they subscribe it for tension and headaches. My wife takes them for that.
