Received A Letter Today, What Does This Mean?

Question

This is just as the letter says (compensation is really in all caps)! Does that mean anything to me? I filed my claim in August. I retired in November. I received an e-mail on Monday that said my claim was "ready for decision" and today I got a letter that said...

"We are still processing your application for COMPENSATION. We apologize for the delay. You will be notified upon completion of precessing. If you need to contact us......"

So, how long do I have now. My office is in Roanoke, VA. Thanks!

Yes, I had my exams and they said they have everything they need. I claimed Pseudofolliculitis Barbae, Ankle Condition (chipped bones and arthritis from years of sprains from basketball while in the military), foot numbness (just found out it is due to my lower back condition, I currently have a post about it right now in this forum), Acne Folliculitis, Elbow Condition (from a motorcycle accident), Wrist Condition (from a morotcycle accident), Dermatophytosis Tinea Capitis and Infertility (had a Vericocele done in the military to try and fix, but to no avail). What do you think? Thanks, for reading.

What you received is just the normal from letter that the VA sends out every couple of months to let you know they are still working on your claim. They are automatically generated and someone puts them in an envelope and mails it out. You should be hearing something within the next 2 months if you retired in Nov. It depends on how involved your claim is. Have you had any C&P exams?? You may want to post what conditions you are claimimg so that the experts here on hadit can lend some advice. There are folks on here who have experience in all sorts of claims and they can let you know what hurdles you may have to leap over.

You will get that generic letter every couple of months. My case has been at the rating board awaiting a decision since Dec 08. As of today still no decision. Hang in there.
