Cowgirl question of the day.

Should I really go for mh doc's support for my unemployability claim if I 'feel' sc ratings are strong enough as is?

After I got denied for iu, I reread and reread the reason why the va denied me. VA provider(psych counselor) didnt provide the opinion that I couldn't be employed. VA examiner opined sedentary work possible. The claim ignored my other mh shrink, didnt mention meds. Iu exam increased to 60%, for that I got ssdi. Then, I wrote a letter to the shrink(meds) requesting diagnosis support for my claim appeal. Doc just didnt get what I needed. So, here I go again, requesting in writing and in person my new counselor (very supportive) and the same shrink to support appeal for iu.

Thanks,

Cg'up2009!

The condition that renders you unemployable is the heart condition. Get you cardiologist to opine that you are unable to maintain gainful employment due to your heart condition.

Sharon, thanks, I'll pursue that statement too, just want to succeed. SSDI award shows 2 major SC reasons, 60% and others combined. Original request for IU I didnt know to claim for what was increased to 60%.Un employed after the military, Didn't know about individual unemployability based on my SC health issues and all until I got to Hadit. The benefits I seek are for my family, kids still in school and husband who struggles to provide for the family we jointly planned.

Again thanks,
