Question

First off I'm 60% rated for PTSD. I'm a GM retiree. I'm losing my dental and vision coverage to start and who knows what next. So Im looking into what the VA may cover because of my disability rating. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Kirk

Hearing aids and eyeglasses will not be replaced because of availability of newer technology, unless there is evidence that it will significantly benefit the veteran. NOTE: Hearing aids and eyeglasses should not be replaced solely for cosmetic purposes.

(a) For eyeglasses, replacement will be at any time due to required refractive change of prescription to improve one line of acuity.

(3) Issuing spares, if necessary, but only as determined by the audiologist or eye care specialist. Spare hearing aids and eyeglasses will not be routinely issued. Thank you. ;) The eyeglasses and hearing aid benefit is good as I have a 40% hearing loss and bifocals. Not sure what the outpatient services is about. Will have to keep researching and learning. Thanks again.

My wife is Canadian and a conditional permanent resident. Next September she will be granted full permanent resident status having been here for 2 years. Will she then become elligible for spousal benefits or does she have to be a US citizen to get that? I'm sorry if I'm asking these questions in the wrong place as I couldn't figure out where I should be posting them.

60 % is an odd rating for PTSD-

is part of it for something else?

Do you have any other disabilities that could possibly be due to your service?

There is no 60% rating for PTSD. PTSD is only rated 10, 30, 50, 70 & 100%.

At 60% there is no dental coverage.

The vision is limited some more than others. Although I am diabetic I can only be examined every two years and the selection for eye ware not so hot either.

There is no 60% rating for anything mental. You must have a couple of ratings that are combined.
