C&p Today

Question

Hey all, had my second c&p today for an appeal from the original that this lady from india, who could hardly speak english did on me, and basically called me a liar, quoting me as saying I had a bunch of symptoms before deployment, that I hadn't.

I really got into it, a week ago with, another seemingly snotty dr. that was supposto do my exam for the appeal. It ended with a reappointment for today that I just got done with.

I made it clear to everyone that I'm not going to take on the character of being a scammer for benefits, that of which was what I was being made into from the original exam, and I verbally threatened to sue for defamation. Today the doc I saw had a pretty good head on his shoulders, and was able to articulate what I was saying about my symptoms. We shall see what the decision is though. I just don't trust any of 'em. You guys know what I mean.

I'm already servce connected, from the first exam, for combat related ptsd, to include anxiety and depression, but was given the shaft and got 10%.

SSD rubberstamped my claim almost a year and a half ago. 9 months after I stopped working without an exam. It's a good thing, or I'd been on the street.

How in the hell do they really expect people to deal with all this crap, and stay civil when a guys plate is already full from the very thing that he's there for? I've been on pins and needles for three days worrying about this, making sure that I kept every trick I could think of right out front in my mind just so I would keep a cool head. (rant over)

Once again I think it went pretty good today, but we'll see.

"So i just need to send this form in for IU. Sounds like it may just be a formality of having this filled out and on file. What do guys think?"

It is more than a formality-

the TDIU form receipt by the VA determines the EED for TDIU.

As John said they could possibly go back one year prior to the day they get the form-I think I explained that here before-as to when they do that-

Every day the form isn't sent in can mean the difference of losing month after month of TDIU comp.

Hey Berta, thanks for the input......I have it all done (all Ts crossed, and Is dotted) but need another signiture from a witness who personally has known me according to the form......my cousin lives in greeley co. (between denver and cheyenne) and I plan on meeting with her to sign it on monday, and then since they transferred the claim back to cheyenne regional, I'll go there and drop it off in person inturn getting copies with the VA recieved date/time stamp on them. Will be faster than the mail believe it or not...took 5 days for the award letter to get from cheyenne to my apt. here in Denver.

Huh? Doesn't it mean if a vet has to sign by an X ----that then they need witnesses...???

I thought that was for vets who might be unable to sign their own name due to disability or being on an IV or something.

Hope someone else clarifies this part of the TDIU form.

It doesn't specifically clarify why the witnesses are needed with a mysterious X mark. So, I'm doing it wether I need to or not rather than try and guess, and be wrong, inturn possible providing them another reason to stall.

That is prolly what it is for. IDK, but it will still get there much faster(monday morning) than mailing it based on the slow P.O. track record here.

I was first rated at 10% SCD for PTSD. After NOD, it was increased to 50%SCD. The rating depends on how much the Psychiatric Disorder limits the Veteran's quality of life, primarily in how it damages relationships at home and at work. A Veteran would be rated 0% if their relationships at home and at work were uneffected by PTSD. I suppose this would be a happily married Veteran with no history of distortion of relationships i.e. no divorce, no separations and a spouse who said everything was hunkydory at home. Additionally, there would be no problems at work and a steady work history .
