Nod Question

Question

Over the weekend I received an unofficial letter from the DAV stating that I was rated 30% for PTSD. Everything else was denied. If, I wanted to do a NOD on the things that were denied and amend others what affect would this have on my PTSD rating? Would the VA hold up the entire claim until it was all settled?

PaPa

Good working about the best you can do is 30 to 50% for PTSD. However if things get to where you can't it is much easier and quicker to upgrade your rating the heavy lifting has been done.

Good Luck

I just talked to the VA and was told that they just now received the doctor's PTSD report and would go into rating. So how in the world can the DAV send out a letter that tells a veteran how something is rated when the medical records was only recently released. Has anyone ask for a copy of their QTC report, and is it hard to obtain?

PaPa you have to get the copy from the VARO. I can go to the VARO and get copies of particular records as a walkin. Some are much hardewr to deal with.
