Question

I know many say the GAF is not important, but this is my point, two the same day, different opinion

Assesment:

Axis I

Depression, NOS Whats NOS mean

PTSD

R/0 Bipolar Disorder

AxisII:

No Diagnosis

Axis Three

Knee

Didn't list IV

GAF 46

Done by social worker

Axis I

Mood DO NOS

Anxiety NOS (consider PTSD)

II Deferred

III HTN, HL, BPH

IV occupational-severe-Health-moderate;financial-severe

Done by DR

Also AIM was done, with all nones

Whats your opinion of these GAF's, I know that many will say no bearing

Looking at my full write ups, and the upcoming C&P, I don't feel very secure

I am not very verbal, and real cooperate, and that going to cost me

Plus why would the Dr show a lack of improvement , its her clinic

pete53 gave you some good advice yesterday. i agree with him,you need to unwind a tad and let the va tell you something before you twist yourself any tighter. all this worrying is not affecting anyone but you,the va is making a decision and after that decision is made,then you can make a plan of attack. the way it is,you are attacking an invisible enemy, you are second guessing your docs,raters,everyone and they have not rendered decision one yet.

calm down a peg or two, asking a lot of questions about a non decision is wearing you down.

You are going to be just fine. Don't worry so much.

Wait until you have something to worry about.

That is what my doctor has been telling me for 30 years. Has it worked? Absolutely not.

I looked and in Axis 11. I do not see a Personality Disorder, so you are sitting pretty.

The NOS means Not Otherwise Specfied. Just a term to say nothing. It does not add or take

away from your illness. It really just means you have Depression, but not any particular name

of one. Does that make sense. I am sure it doesn't.
