Question

Some of you here know my story from earlier thread (Please Help) well anyway still waiting on anything from my RO (Philly) my award for TDIU was granted by Washington 02 June 09.Well after numerous 1-800...phone calls and now two visits to my RO I can not get a answer as to even where my case is at this time..My last visit to the RO was this past Mon. a total waste of time the person at the desk told me if I don't have a reply by Oct. 15th to call back..Ohhh God. Well this is pretty serious now financially and health wise, its to the point that with winter approaching I don't have the bread to heat my house. So I mentioned that I may go my my local state representative, with that the person said "you don't want to do that" because it will cause your file to go from maybe the top of one pile to the bottom of another. How can this go on in a organization that is set up by our federal government to our Veterans in a time of need??

mako,

I agree with the person at VA that stated,

"you don't want to do that" because it will cause your file to go from maybe the top of one pile to the bottom of another."

This is not a time to bring in an inquiry by a goobermint official, it will put the brakes on getting

you money.

Man, I'm glad this person said that so you don't go that route. You probably then wouldn't hear anything until after the new year.

Especially in this case since you have been notified of the award.

Back off and relax a little. Winter is still a couple of months away. You are getting to the RO and the more you pry the slower they will become.

Hang in there It iwll happen.

Too bad your in Philly.

I will tell you what when I finally get my award, I am going to do something I don't know what but I swear I am going to do something to help homeless Vets in my area.. This can happen way to easy to a disabled vet that has no family.

Make sure you treat yourself first for having to go through all this..........Also, if you donate any money make sure you do your research on the charity to make sure they have a good track record and are legit. As much as were are caring folks we can easily let our heart take over our mind.
