Define Medical Codes Used By Va

Question

I have a list of Medical code numbers XXXX used by the VA to denial of my claims. Where do I look within VA system to get code definition?

Thanks for the reply, but "WARMS" did not do the trick for me.

I have a Degentive Disc in my lower back. The code numbers are 5299-5237. All my code numbers are XXXX and not X . XXX

How about this, look at the Appendices (my goof for not listing that) it does show your numbers, but I suggest you double check your information just in case, 5237 does show lumbosacrial strain... but 5299 isn't listed. In my experence, sometimes the last two numbers '99' may indicate that a condition is in that code family but 'uspecified' or more generally within that family code range.

Hope this makes sense, if not, someone else will pop in to help.

Thanks for the address once my "LIGHT CAME ON" I was able to find the information within the "WARMS"
