Question

hello, I know I'm new here but I just wanted to let everyone know I was granted TDIU. I got the big brown envelope last Friday. I put in my TDIU claim last June after i was approved for social security. man, this took 8 long months. The VA moves so slow.

It says I have chapter 35 benefits. What is this and does this mean anything?

the letter also says I have "no future exams." Is this good?

What other benefits do I have and how much will I get every month with TDIU?

should I appeal for higher rating?

thanks

Great Job. Actually pat yourself on the back. 8 months is considered a lightning strike by VA standards.

Chapter 25 is education for the wife and Kids.

There are also things like CHamp VA insurance for the family. ( No Paid premiums)

SDVI life insurance with 10 K waiver of premium.

Many state benefits, like property tax exemptions,

Military ID card for MWR usage.

CONGRATS!!!! you did Very well!

I graduated from AMU using my Chapter 35 benefits.

And the CHAMPVA is great too!

These are great benefits for your dependents.

Question-to you or anyone here-

when I got my award for Chap 35 ,the DEA apps for me and my daughter came with the posthumous 100% P & T award letter .

As I recall it didn't mention CHAMPVA but I think this info came separately with the CHAMPVA application.

Does the VA specifically state the dependents might be eligible for CHAMPVA in 100% P & T awards?

Or does something trigger CHAMPVA themselves to send the info and application? I forget.

CHAMPVA needs separate application which can be found on line at the CHAMPVA site- and they make a separate eligibility determination.
