Question

When I originally filed a claim for ptst I did not have a full diagnosis of ptst. My MH Dr. said I had some symptoms of ptsd but not enough to warrant a diagnosis of it.She said I had major recurrent depressive disorder. I was sent for another evaluation at my va hospital, and was sent a denial several months later. I filed for a nod and requested to go before a traveling board which evidently takes forever. I finally did receive a call when I wasn't home that there was a cancellation and if I could be there I could fill that spot. Well I was working so I didn't know about it untill I came home. They left a number that I could call so I asked just to have a teleconference hearing at the local RO. I contacted my poa and they told me my claim was at the appeals office.
This claim started in 2005, the denial was in 2007. I see my MH Dr. frequently at my local va clinic. I saw her last November and she asked that my wife write a letter and I was to return the next day. Apparently my wife's letter convinced her of the missing link to ptsd. She diagnosed me Axis I ptsd with recurrent major depressive disorder separate from ptsd, but aggravated by it.
Axis IV Stressors being moderate
Axis V GAF of 50
Because I have a clear diagnosis of ptst do you think it will still go through appeals? And does this new evidence bode well for me?
I would appreciate any feedback please
