Question

I had my first exam and put in for PTSD and a couple of fractures in my back. They gave me 30% for the PTSD and disallowed the back. I did the damage to my back in a car accident as a result of the drugs they were giving me for the PTSD, (I fell asleep)I spent 3 days in the hospital was given a handful of pain killers and put on light duty until I was mustered out. (I was short when all this was happening) They have no record of the accident or the hospital stay. I have a civilian radiological report, and submitted it with my claim material, that says I have two old fractures in my lumbar vertebra. I don't think they read it while they were rating me.

First question: Now that I have a 30% and can get some heath care through the VA will they be willing to do the diagnostic work that is needed to prove my claim for my back. I need a CT scan and can't afford it.

Second question: I intend to include new material connected to the PTSD claim. I didn't realize that I should tell them that I had APNEA and have been using a C-Pap machine for a number of years. I have all the copies of the sleep studies to confirm this condition. Now I see in the blogs that they are connected (APNEA and PTSD) so I am going to add this. Is this a good idea or not.

Thanks for your help
