Appealling Rating Decision

Rate this question

Richard J.

Question

My first rating for PTSD was 30% which I appealed. Nine months later I received a rating of 50%. My GAF score was 55. I'm about to send a letter of disagreement. Any suggestions of what other types of evidence that you have to send in with this letter. Is heart disease now considered to be caused by PTSD ? Can you get your increase because of the disease? I'm a

If you were in country RVN and exposed to AO then your heart disease may be service connected if it falls into the criteria of Ischemic Heart Disease.

You'll need evidence of a higher impairment caused by your PTSD. As I understand it IHD is presumptive due to AO exposure, not due to PTSD.
