Funeral Benefits

Recommended Posts

My youngest brother had a massive heart attack last night and died. He is from Kentucky and was a Veteran. He had no insurance, and I would like to know if the state of Kentucky has a program to help Veterans. I know that the VA pays very little. He was also disabled, but he just did not want to deal with the VA. Any advice would be appreciated.

Papa:

Sorry for your loss. The VA pays very little. My opinion is to see if the Veterans Administration has burial near him and usually funeral home knows the answers.

Did the vet die from a SC condition? You can get really basic amount of money for the burial.

Papa, So sorry for your loss. As advised here, check with funeral director on any assistance/option available in his area. Remember the good times of the past with him.
