Question
teejay53
i have a question i would appreciate your help with.
the va sent my deceased husbands medical file to the va long beach medical center (he was treated here for his severe wound he was honorably discharged for) for a medical opinion as to whether he caught the hep c from the blood transfusions he received during his treatment for the wound in 1978.
i spoke to a va agent this past week and was told the opinion came back with the wording "as likely as not" only. Is this the wording that gives the veteran the benefit of doubt?
my husband's personal doctor wrote a letter to the va stating the hep c was a direct result of the blood transfusions he received while in the care of the va.
thank you for your advice.
