Question

Hello everyone,

I have been on here from time to time and my husband had a C&P exam om the 29th of June and the ortho dr. said that ... He is flexed forwaed 30 degrees. He cannot stand or walk on the heel or toes. he cannot squat.

Low back pain

Range of motion is 40 degrees flexxed, he lacks 30 degrees of extension, 5 degrees right lateral bend, 5 degrees left lateral bend, 5 degrees rotation to the rigth and left. After the final range of motion there is pain, fatigability, weakness, lack of endurance, but no incoordination throughout the entire range of motion.

Diagnosis : Lumbar strain

Right Knee tendonopathy

Range of motion rigth knee lacks 15 degrees full extension and flexes to 80 degrees whrn he is sitting and trying to extend against gravity, but when supine the right knee comes to full extension of 0... which one are they going to use?

Diagnosis Patellar Tendon Contusion right knee

Thank you.

thank you for that, but i am wondering which one will they use, the one where he is sitting or standing? I have been looking at appeals all day and ity says nothing about sitting or supine. What does lacking 30 deg. mean? This is something new i was reding in the report, the examiner said that the pain he has in his knee and back is more likeley that not because if his PTSD, that does not sound right at all?

Is there any way you can post the exam. From what you have listed so far, they are saying that the pain in his knee and back are not cause by his PTSD. Do you have medical prove to the alternate? They will use the total report standing and sitting. No one can say what the rating will take from a report when there is conflicting information. You will just have to wait and see.

Just guesing, from what you said he file a claim for his back and knee secondary to ptsd,if this is true the examiner is stating that it is as least as likely as not that his back and knee irritate his ptsd.IF he is service connected for ptsd, you need to file a claim for increase for his ptsd.Just guesing, need more information.
