On October 13, 2009, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced that three new conditions would be added to the list of diseases presumptively associated with exposure to certain herbicide agents: hairy cell and other B-cell leukemias, Parkinson's disease, and ischemic heart disease. This web site was created to provide general information about filing claims for service connection for these conditions.

Please note: The regulation that allows VA to pay compensation for these new conditions has not been finalized. VA will not be making decisions on these claims until the regulation is final and implemented. This site will be updated when that occurs.

The questions and information on this website will allow a Veteran or surviving family member to understand the general requirements and evidence needed to help you send VA a complete claim with everything we need to make a decision. NOTE: You do not need to wait to submit a complete claim, as we will process your claim with whatever evidence you provide us. Additional Agent Orange information can be found at http://www.publichea...ge/benefits.asp
