Am I Eligible For Smc-S

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

Went to Voc-Rehab yesterday. They denied my request for Voc-Rehab because,

"After carefully reviewing the evidence, I find that you already have the education and training to qualify for a suitable job. You do not need Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment services at this time".

What evidence did VA consider?

"In making this decision, I considered the following evidence: The number and severity of your disabilities."

Any Opinions?

Thank you,

David

I think the VA rejected your request for Voc Rehab because you are P&T. They don't want to spend money on someone who will never work again because it is vocational rehabilitation. Do you plan on going back to work after V.R.? Can you be rehabilitated?

No, I can't go back to work. No one would hire me with my physical limitations, and they are permanent. Isn't this what would determine me Unemployable? I don't have any letter removing me from TDIU as a statement by itself in 1999, just my disability increases and P&T. My American Legion Service Adviser stated SMC-S Statutory is possible if we can prove it, I don't understand that statement. If Voc-Rehab won't help me because of their statements, why wouldn't that be proof of Unemployability? How much is SMC-S ?

Thanks for your time,

David
