Ischemic Heart Disease Related To Agent Orange

Rate this question

CROW

Question

I am currently rated at 100% for Prostate Cancer (100%), Diabetes (20%), Neropathy (10%), Charcot Foot (10%), all Agent Orage related. On Sunday I had a mild heart attack and had two stents emplaced in heart artery. Question is what do I gain by applying for additional disability for Isochemin Heart Disease?

Because of the heart attack and the stent placement operation you will be grated a 100% temporary for your heart. Then just like the prostate you will be examined to see how much damage was done to your heart.

I would file right away and get this in the works. You do not know what lies ahead for you and your family. If something happens and you die of heart complications your wife would be eligible for benefits.

Go to the Agent Orange forum here, there is a new website called Fast track that the VA is starting up just for the 3 new conditions related to herbicide exposure. Sign up there when the site becomes active and you are on your web.

Good luck to you!

Another reason is if they would possibly re-evaluate the residuals you have from prostate cancer and then could determine they will lower the 100% SC you have now for that.

Best to ask you doctor if this is ischemic heart disease.

Not all CAD is ischemic.

If you google non-ischemic heart disease plenty of info will pop up-as to the different types of CAD.

Your CAD will most likely be rated temporary 100 percent for 3 moths.

After that you will receive another exam with an Echocardiogram and they will adjust the percentage according to your Ejection fraction or Mets.

Even though you are 100 perent this should put you into HB or total plus 60 criteria and be awarded SMC S.
