Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

(Different manufacture this time)

About 1,000,000 fentanyl patches for chronic pain have been recalled from store/pharmacy shelves.

Lab tests revealed potential respiratory problems.

Too rapid release of active ingredient-opiod fentanyl.

Targeting retailers and wholesales...BUT TELLING PATIENTS OK TO USE! WHAT??????

Patches included in this recall have expiration dates from Dec 2011 to Apr 2012.

Manufacture Brand name: ACTAVIS INC.

Per Arthritis today story.

Thanks alot...just put on a new patch 5 hours ago, and guess the company's name? Yep, Actavis. However had not had any trouble with this brand... Didn't list dosages amounts in story. Been on fentanyl since 2002...any others been on this medication for extended periods of time??

Hey Halos,

This is just for patches right? Not injections?

I have been on it for about 6 months. I am disappointed with it. I get all the benefit the first day and after that nothing. They cut my oxycodone in half when the did the patch and I am worse off now I think. 4000 years and medical science can't come up with something that reduces pain without addicting you.

For the "patches" only. Actavis company/brand only. I agree with the effectiveness or not with the patches. But I have terrible withdrawal signs/symptoms if I try to stop taking them. 4th and esp 5th day I have the worse crazy legs syndrome you could ever see. My legs go about 80mph.

Plus I am shaking and that is worse than not using them to me. I believe too, and wish there was something to relieve the pain without having the addictiveness.
