RELEASE OF INFORMATION TO SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION

1. PURPOSE: This Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Directive provides policy and procedures for the release of information (ROI) to the Social Security Administration (SSA) and its affiliated State Disability Determination Services (DDS) by a secure Web site using a standard health summary protocol.

NOTE: The URL is provided by SSA when the local Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center Health Information Manager (HIM) registers for the SSA web site.
