4 Min C & P

Question

I had a C & P last week for headaches. The doctor only spoke to me for 4 mins. She kept asking me which doctor sent me to him. I kept telling her the VA., it appeared she had reading nothing in my file. She said the VA sends the file to her after. I clearly saw the VA file on her receptionist desk, it had my name and social on it and it was about 4 inches thick.

I got the impression she really did not want to talk to me, or care enough to read anything in my file. She hardly asked me any questions and then when I told her what other specialist in her field diagnosed me with, she told me she felt they were wrong. I have spoke to a team of doctors and they have spent hours with me and have ran numerous tests, she spent about 4 mins with me and knew nothing of my medical history.

Now, I don't know what she is going to write, but do you think I should send a letter to the VA voicing my concerns, or possibly requesting a new doctor, or should I wait and see what she is going to state.

Thanks in advance.

I had a 5 minute C&P for PTSD and got a 100% P&T off of it time the exam took is not the problem it is what the doctor writes and how well your medical issue is documented in your treatment records wait until you get the copy of the C&P or the award letter if it is bad then you can complain about the incomplete exam

I don't know who I would contact, her clinic was not at the VA, they sent me to private practice clinic.

If it was a QTC C&P exam (not at a VAMC) you most likely will not be able to get a copy

of this C&P exam until after a rating decision has been adjudicated.

What reason have your other doctors provided for your headaches, they are a result of what ?

They stem from what ? They effect your life how ?

I had a 5 minute axam also. The examiner had t he records already read. He said you had HTN in the Navy as your record shows. He asked why I was even there. I told him the RO denied the claim stating there was no record of HTN in service. He said that was a crock of bull as he saw 14 of 17 readings in service with the Diastolic over 100. Then he asked why I was taking IMDUR for. I told him , he said, Yes sir. I walso saw that in the record.

HTN and heart disease connected on a 5 min exam.

If the examiner does his homework, it dont take too long. If they dont, It can take hours.

Carlie, Just saying I know a vet in Tx who had a C&P done at a QTC clinic last year and was told he could return for a copy of the exam in 3-4 weeks. He went in in 4 weeks and got a copy of the exam after signing a FOIA form.

Don't know if this was usual or not, but he got it. They did a pretty decent exam and write up on his claim too. He went from 20-40% va math...looks like more but we all know VA math.
