I used this site to help a WWII Marine Veteran with claim for Atomic Veteran. He was station at Nagasaki from Sept. 1945 to July 1946. He is 88 years old and has alot of cancer. His children are sick with nerve problems and can not see very well. Both are living with him, because of their sickness.

Is there any claim for them??? I think the radiation has cause their problems???

The government new almost nothing about long term effects of atomic radiation. The soldiers themselves may have been radioacative and caused the sickness of spouses and children. Soldiers observing atomic tests said they could see the bones in their arms and hands when the bombs went off. How much radiation did they get? USA does not care one bit.
