1 Qtc Exam For 12 Imo's

My husband had a QTC exam on 02/04/14. General medical exam completed by a general practitioner but mainly for Parkinson's Disease. The exam was for: respiratory condition (inferred by rater, have no clue why), bowel condition, sexual condition, neurogenic bladder, Parkinson's Disease, stooped posture, loss of automatic movements, voice change, fatigue, right upper extremity neuroligical impairment, left upper extremity neuroligical impairment, right lower extremity neuroligical impairment and left lower extremity neuroligical impairment. To this date the VARO has still not received the paperwork from QTC. These, with the exception of respiratory condition are all symptoms of Parkinson's Disease that were listed on the dbq with the exception of fatigue.

I have made a complaint to "Peggy" and she stated that she would send it off to the VARO and that I should follow up with a letter, concerning my "flags". The exam doctor insinuated that the neurogenic bladder was due to enlarged prostrate. The symptoms of enlarged prostrate and neurogenic bladder are pretty much the same. So how can one make an assumption with out being a specialist or neurologist? OK, I know I am venting a bit. But geez, these exams seem ridiculous and such a waste of money when the VARO already has a dbq filled out by the VA neurology and all treatment has been with the VA. Are they really trying to be fair or trying to find a loop hole in which to deny?

QTC stated that they agree the paperwork is over due, but they are giving the QTC exam doctor leeway because she has 12 different IMO's to write up for one exam.

I just had 6 C&P exams all in one day last Friday. I had multiple Docs for the Exams and each were brutal. My C&P exams are all on MyHealthEVet except for the PTSD Review Exam. I filed an FDC back in Sep 13 and my claim just started to move, so much for the your claim will be done in 3 months crap. I am sorry for what you guys are going thru. My best fried has Parkinsons, he is 31 now, and was diagnosed at 16. 100% SSDI disabled, has never been able to work. His dream was to be Infantry in the Army. Now he has to carry a Medical Card in his back pocket, because even though is does not drive, he likes to walk around the Town, and the Police stop him all the time and ask him why he is stumbling. So he has to show the Cops his medical card, so they don't think that he is Drunk or on Drugs, WTH. God Bless and good luck. Keep us posted

I had 5 the first part of Jan. All was by a GP Dr. this on my heart, hypertension. The one on my PTSD was a Psychologist. But they both seem to reading and asking questions, like it was scripted. the only test that I thought was fair was my hearing test. My question is how are we suppose to treated right they don't give us a Dr. who specialize in the field you are seeking help. How could a GP evaluate your heart if they aren't a BOARD CERTIFIED Cardiologist . I agree with NAVY O4

Talk about crazy, I had GP for my Crohn's and Testicular Surgery, WTH. These conditions are not even closely related. It is so frustrating, that these kind of halfway done exams, control are future. I agree about the scripted part, it is primarily because the raters want certain questions asked for their gathering of information. I do think it is unfair to have an exam for certain conditions by a general practitioner rather than a specialist, after all when receiving care at a VA facility the primary care physician doesn't do it all. His QTC doctor appeared to be over whelmed while looking at the paper work. Good luck to all, and I hope that all that have their exams and do not feel as though they were treated fairly make a statement to the VARO C&P office or QTC.
