I looked at my ab8 letter. 90%.Contacted my VSO. They combined my old TBI rating (40%) with my new depression rating. It came out to be 70% (depression due to post concussive syndrome).

Im happy I got an increase, but if they would have rated the two contentions seperately, I would have been at 100%.

They also screwed me on my initial claim date by a year, I see.

Not happy!

I have a question. My ab8 letter (benefits verification right?) Did say 40% but just says percent now. I'm in the notification phase now but looking at my claim it had 2 things added to my conditions. First was DEA and second was claimant considered competent. I don't know what my new rating is but can anyone venture a guess as to what that means? ptsd rated 100 maybe? Thanks guys I'm new to posting here.

I am not sure how to find that. I am curious/worried/optimistic because of the possible implications. My claim had DEA (dependent education assistance) and claimant consider competent added to it by the VA. Is this a possible indicator that I'm now at 100% you can't be eligible for DEA unless you're Mia, dead or total and permanent according to the pamphlet on it. Thoughts?
