Are Cp Examinations Needed All The Time To Make A Sc Desision?

hello hadit members i just received a call from the VA a man stating he wanted to make sure that they have all my medical records. He went over with me when my MVA accident back in 99 and they have the medical records. The thing that i do not understand is that he told me they will be making a decision in a few days. I do not understand because i have not had any VA examinations for my Health or Mental Health i had a exam for my eyes and hearing but that is all. Today i called the VA and i spoke to a lady and she told me sometimes they do not need C&P exam for mental health and health to make a decision on my claim. Can you please give me your thoughts or is this a stallemate that the VA does since i have not been scheduled for those 2 CP exams to determing my sevice connection percentage? Thank you.

VA Claims Triage team decides which claims need DBQs completed by a C & P DR. I think all PTSD initial claims get an automatic C & P.

If the VA told you a C & P wasn't necessary, good for you. Sounds like that indicates they have all the necessary medical Evidence and Nexus opinions needed to award your claim.

The VA often requests DBQ examinations, however they are not required. if the VA feels that they have enough evidence to rate the SC then they will not order one. You can request one im sure, however its still their call. If you do feel that a DBQ would help your case you can go and have one filled out by a specialist in the field your SC falls under. make sure they are board certified, have a nice CV behind them.

At this point since it seems they are close to letting you know, i would wait. see what the decision is, if you feel it is just and right, congrats. if not then file a NOD (notice of disagreement) which will be in your decision packet, or just google it. go and get an IME and more evidence and submit that with the NOD

I really don't know i have been having real mental health problems since last year i could not work, focus relationship issues. My VSO helped me file they said they had my medical records from 2000 till now i got out of AD Marines in 1999. I'm not sure if this is good news or bad news that i got denied and that is why they did not do a CP Exams for Physical and Mental Health, I have had a lot of issues been in the Hospitalized twice and been on heavy medications ever since. I mean DBQ never heard of it without it it most likely be 0% SC correct of what i have been reading on here? Can you explain if this has happened to anyone that they were rated SC without a C&P or DBQ.. Thank you for your service. Semper Fi !
