I was awarded IU permanent and total about 2 years ago. I was already rated at 70% and they didn't send me for a C & P, which probably would have increased my mental health sc issue from 30% to at least 70%. My husband is not eligible for the caregiver program but I may qualify for Aid and Attendance or housebound if I applied but keep hoping that all disabled veterans will have their caregivers eligible for the caregiver program. Have any of you opened a claim when already TDIU to get your rating higher (there is a reason that having 90-100% schedular would be beneficial for my children). My VSO pretty much told me when I received my TDIU not to rock the boat. Opinions, personal experience would be great!!
