Question
RumHam
Hey everyone, I'm still on AD and recently just got back from the Naval Hospital's podiatry clinic. I initially went in for flat foot consultation. The doc had me walk barefoot and decided that I don't have true flat feet because when my feet are suspended there is still a bit of an arch, however there is 'over pronation' or something so that when I have full weight on each foot they completely flatten out and because of that in my time in the infantry, that has caused more wear and tear than normal. Still though, he got me a prescription for two custom orthotics which I'll receive in about a month. So because of this, I'm curious if there is any sort of disability claims I can make when I exit the Marine Corps in a few months from now. I asked my corpsman and he was unsure but he thinks I could potentially rate 10% for each foot.
Edit: Edited for clarity/ambiguity.
