IMO Doctor or a Great VA Attorney in New Orleans

I'm in search of a doctor for sleep study that can write me a IMO and an attorney that represents Veterans in or around the New Orleans area. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Pctinc2001, I recommend calling the largest law firm you see listed or advertised in the phone book, and asking them if they know of a firm in your area that specialises in Veterans Disability.  That's how I found my attorney, and she is excellent.  As far as a doctor that writes IMO's, your attorney might know of some good physicians. If you have trouble finding one,  there are doctors you can mail your records to that will write you an IMO based off of your records, if you have a difficult time locating one in your area.

Attorneys for vets don't have to be local to your residence.

I live in FL, and my law firm is in the Midwest.

A veterans law firm should have a list of medical providers they use and send you to one of theirs for a sleep study

First thing is  find a law firm.

Im using Julie Glover of Glover Luck in Dallas Texas, even tho Texas is a long way away from me.  

I have been pleased with Ms. Glover so far.  She has won a JMR, and got 6000 in attorney fees paid by EAJA, that I wont have to pay, ever.  Since she charges 20%, that means unless I get MORE than 30,000 in retro, I will pay "0" attorney fees, and only 20 percent for anything over 30,000 in retro.

 I could not find a competent experienced VA lawyer in my state.

PCT, slow down a skosh. Why do you think you need an Attorney and a DR for an IMO? Before you give up 20% of any Retro or spend $1+K for an IMO, let's see where you're at from an SA standpoint.

How about supplying us/me with more specific info regarding your DX's, SC Timeline and redacted copies of your C & P DBQ's and Award/Denial Letters?

There's a list of about 12+ or - usual suspects when it comes to causes of OSA, CSA or MSA. How many do you have and exactly which type of SA are you DX'd with? Do you currently see a non-VA Sleep Neurologist for treatment?

Give thought to starting an SA Secondary to PTSD, New Claim on your E-Ben site, to lock in your Retro File date. You have 364 days from the File date to hit the submit button, should be plenty of time to get your Ducks in a Row.

Gastone been gone for a minute and when i returned the website has changed. i would greatly appreciate you looking over my things for my sa claim. I was not dx in the military. i had a sleep study done by a private neurologist and was given a cpap machine. can you give me some insight
