Buddy Letter

Asking for Your Wisdom - Anyone.  I have been asked to write a Buddy Letter for a shipmate, which I have done. My question is-will I be required to travel to his exam, to give testimony? Will I be phone called? Or neither?

"Required?"   No.  You are unlikely to have to give any testimony.  That is why they call it a "buddy letter" as opposed to "buddy (in person) testimony".  I would provide your phone number just in case VA would like to call you to confirm you wrote the letter.  I would gladly do so for any of my friends.
