SubDude
Asking for Your Wisdom - Anyone. I have been asked to write a Buddy Letter for a shipmate, which I have done. My question is-will I be required to travel to his exam, to give testimony? Will I be phone called? Or neither?
Moderator broncovet Posted December 23, 2017 Moderator Share Posted December 23, 2017 "Required?" No. You are unlikely to have to give any testimony. That is why they call it a "buddy letter" as opposed to "buddy (in person) testimony". I would provide your phone number just in case VA would like to call you to confirm you wrote the letter. I would gladly do so for any of my friends.
