We'll have to wait for a few "success posts" before passing judgement on the Latest and Greatest VA Claims Program.

As I recall, the "Vet Choice" program took a couple yrs before it started to function even marginally.

Just MHO, I can't see the VA Rating Dept doing anything regarding a SC Claim in less than "30 Days from Receipt of Increase Claim" unless it's all done by computer, with no Human Decision involvement. We'll just have to wait and see.

I have the same thought. I do think in the future the Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be doing the initial rating work.

It would have helped if I had read the Link regarding the "New Speedy Claims" Program.

It appears to me to be just the FDC on Steroids.  The 30 Days doesn't start until the Actual Rater gets his hands on the Certified FDC after the Claims Intake Triage Team verify no further Evidence is necessary other than a possible C & P.

"Under the new DRC, veterans must work with a VSO to help them get together all the necessary paperwork, and they must have their comp exam with a VA doctor before submitting their claim."

How the hell does that work?

Do I just call the VA and tell them I need a C&P?

I suppose I could just tell them I need a C&P for this, that and the other and see what falls into my favor and then make the claim.

This could get intereresting.

Just sayin,

Big problem there, unless requesting C & P Exams has changed. In the past, only the RO Rating Dept requested C & P Exams based on a Claim being Filed. In some rare cases, the Private or VMC Clinician Treatment notes might make an actual C & P unnecessary.

VSR's can't order C & P's or request a specific C & P DBQ completion by a private or VMC Specialist.

Ham, if I read the article correctly, your C&P exam would be performed by your regular VA doctor. This is for rating increases only...so far.
