Question

Glad to announce the law in New Castle County Delaware has been updated to anyone who is found to be Permanent and totally disabled by the VA will be granted a residency exemption to their disability exemption standards for property taxes and such. Basically if you just moved here you don’t have to wait 3 years to get this exemption it’s automatically given to you and your new assessment for your home...

The county council members asked if me and my wife if we could be there when the bill is signed into law next Thursday. I graciously excepted the invite, this whole process started this past October didn’t know it was such an ordeal to get a change to the tax code in the county, I just knew that there was nothing mandated by the state as anyone can see in Delaware. But hell here is a start to maybe more to come in Delaware.
