BVA Decision Letter Arrived

Rate this question

Question

I was pleasantly surprised to receive my decision letter early this week (22 April) as my BVA hearing was ~ 14 Feb 2018.  In any case, the BVA granted me a 60% rating for a service connected disability previously rated at 0% effective November 2010.

My questions is this:  How long does it "normally" take for my revised disability rating to be reflected in my VA eBenefits account summary and how long before the monthly electronic funds transfer catches up with the BVA decision?

Thanks for any feedback

The monthly allotment will most likely catch up with you immediately.  Back pay can be several months.  Check your VA rating and letters and you should already see the change.

Congratulations.  Your VARO will need to "implement" the BVA decision before you get a dime.  This can take from a couple weeks, up to 3 years in my case.  The average is about 1 to 3 months.  I dont suggest you expect money to arrive this week or next.  It could happen, but I doubt it.
