  1. congratulations this is great news and yeah patience and persistence those are the keys..enjoy
  2. Hadit.com's official birthday is Jan 20, 1997 wow seems like it wasn't that long ago but there you have it. i keep changing the look on the staging sever i'm trying to find something that gives us the biggest bang for the buck. glad you like it so far
  3. as you know i continue to work on the content for the main site and i noticed we are always refering to cases for veterans to reference, how about post the case in this thread with a breif description of what it pertains to and if possible a link to the case. let me know if it's bva or uscvac then i can start to put them all on one page for easy reference for everyone.
  4. still trying to figure my way around and the best way to add content. trying a new look if you get a chance take a look and let me know what you think http://www.geeekninja.com
  5. congratulations it sure is good to see a success story for one of our veterans. and a great personal victory for you dealing with a spouse with ptsd and the va can drive some over the edge ;) 1. get the buddy letter, it couldn't hurt 2. permanent will probably come after the initial review if no improvement and everything has stayed about the same or god forbid worsened. however, you can go ahead and request it i guess the worst that could happen as they could turn you down 3. keep your veteran going to his appoinments mental and medical, this is very important for the veterans health and will show consistent treatment in his files if it needs to be reviewed. 4. keep your eye open for a bit of depression for you and/or your veteran after the initial win you may feel a bit of a let down it's normal and it will pass 5. remember a 100% ptsd veteran has issues and a therapist combined with a pyschatrist is the best way imho for the veteran to learn to manage his/her symptoms and have a fuller life. i really am very happy for you and wish you both nothing but the best
  6. wow, celexa makes me more energetic, strange isn't it how a drug effects different folks differently, i was on prozac for a lot of years and it just seemed to quit working. you just have to make your doc try different things till you find the right one for your body chemistry.
  7. hi folks take a look at this page and see what you think Schedule for Rating Disabilities

  10. i think i am liking it a lot. i'm reading the manual, somethings i'm having trouble understanding. i'd like to find someone who could write us php page with room for plug ins. i'm trying to figure it out but i think my brain is fried nothing seems to stick mayb i have teflon brain syndrome B) you can check it out at the staging server http://www.geekninja.com it will keep changing as i try different things.
  11. this a great example of what hadit.com is about!
  12. that is great news, it's good to see they are catching these kind of mistakes.
  13. the reason i went with subdreamer instead of mambo or the others is that it will intergrate this forum and website together. also the user reviews were very good, support seems good. if i can figure it out i think it will be a big help in administering and adding new content to the site. we have a content rich site, light on graphics, heavy on text. i am looking for an easy way to add the content without a lot of overhead in time and on my wrist B)
  14. any of our geeks out there have any experience with subdreamer? http://www.subdreamer.com if you could lend a hand with the learning curve on this it would be greatly appreciated.
  15. blogs located at the top right click on blogs then click on berta's blog.
  16. Updating the Useful Cases page on the main site check it out http://www.hadit.com/library/law/usefulcases.htm
  17. moved your post to claims research i think you will get more responses here. a couple of things and i'm sure folks will add more. you probably should take a look at the schedule for rating disabilities located here http://www.access.gpo.gov/nara/cfr/waisidx_03/38cfr4_03.html look at you disability and see what the requirements are for a higher rating. also check out the compnesation and pension exam worksheets and see if they did the proper exam on you http://www.vba.va.gov/bln/21/Benefits/exams/index.htm you can file a notice of disagreement, but you need to have your ducks in a row. i hope this helps.
  18. i'm having great sucess with celexa i take 80mg per day started at 40, then 60 now 80. 80 works great for me it just takes a few weeks to kick in from the 60 i haven't had any side effects that i've noticed anybody else have any problems i should watch out for?
  19. oh geez i don't know why i can't get this right our sort options are Date of the last post Topic Title Topic Starters Name Topic Posts Topic Views Date topic started Name of the last poster i haven't found anything that allows us to sort replies. Default sort order is either Descending z - a, 0 - 10 or ascending a- z 10-0 i have swithced it to Ascending by date of last post that means that old posts will show up first and the new posts will be at the bottom is this what you want?
  20. Excerpt "You finally decided to file a VA claim for disability, so now what do you do? Maybe you already have started the paperwork yourself or have been helped by a veteran rep filling out the required VA Forms and are now one of many waiting to hear from the VA about your claims status. If you haven’t figured it out by now, it’s time to realize that you are involved in a giant paper shuffle and this IS NOT a spectator sport." 21. todd keep fighting brother we are here with you! man those migranes are horrible, i don't have them as bad as you, but they do knock you out for awhile. my one doc told me they have pills you can take everyday and for many folks no migranes. i take medrin, it helps. a shot of immitrix gets rid of it for me, though immitrix in pill form don't seem to work.
  22. jim this is great news, it will take a bit of time for the stress to subside. also watch out for a bit of depression, kind of an anticlimatic nothing to worry about just keep it in mind in case you start to feel down, it will pass. i think perhaps for many of us the fight for service connection is for us internally a fight for survival and we have to let the adrenalin just kind of run it's course after the fight. even when we get p and t there's still some anxiety that they will come and take it away...haven't seen it happen yet. so after the down, and the anxiety there is hope and you can start to think about the future and make a life for yourself. we are with you brother good times and bad.
