  1. I am 100% p&t and use VA for my health care , but I also have Medicare A&B just incase I can not get into the VA .
  2. WOW! What am I going to do with all that money? It may pay for a half tank of gas.
  3. I just got 100% P$T compensation rating. That means my wife can get Champa insurance. She is disabled and on Medicare. She already has an Athem Medicare Advandage plan that cost her nothing a month. It has a small co-pay to see the doctors and a co-pay for hospital and etc. I hear that Champa pays 80% on her drugs. Her plan will pay about as much on her drugs that Champa will. When she hits the gap , she would save about $150 per month on Champa , but when she hits the next level after the gap(and she will for about 4 months) , she would still be paying 20% for her drugs on Champa. On her Anthem, she would only be paying about 5% for her drugs for the same four months. Am I missing something about Champa , or would it be better for her to stay on Anthem ?
  4. After 26 months , my claim came thru. PTSD 70% Nephropathy 60% Peripheral neuropathy 10% Ischemic heart disease 60% Type 2 diabetes 20% using VA math, they gave me a total of 100% permanent out right with no further exams , and 26 months retro .
  5. My 26 month old claim just went to complete on e-bennies. Went from 70% to 100%
  6. I am one of the 97%. I just went from 70% disability to 100% disability I waited 26 months on my claim. It is now done.
  7. The VA hired Veterans Evaluations out of Texas to clear up the backlog of claims. I have been waiting for over 2 years on my claim. I just got a letter from Veterans Evaluations telling me I have 3 C & P exams in the next 7 days. The only bad thing is that each of the exams are in different towns! Each of the towns are at least 50 miles from where I live. That means I will have to drive a total of 300 miles round trip for the C & P exams. After all the driving, I hope they are in my favor.
  8. After waiting on my claim for PTSD and TDIU for 2 years now, I just got a phone call from the VA telling me they have finally set up a doctors appt for me. I have been seeing a doctor at my local VA clinic for 2 years now for my PTSD. Now I have to drive 50 miles to see a doctor I have never met.
  9. No. It will not help. I had my congressman check on my claim 3 times now in the past 2 years. My claim is still pending.
  10. I have been waiting 20 months my self on my claim. Still in gathering the whole 20 months.
  11. I have 4 stents in my heart. I had all 4 of my arteries blocked . One was 100% blocked, One was 95% blocked . The other 2 were 90% blocked. My local ER told me if I had waited another hour before I got help,I would not be alive. It took 9 months for my claim.
  12. I have been since March 2011 on my claim .It has been in gathering evidence all that time. I have contacted my Congressman and Senator 3 times now ! All I get back from them is a form letter
  13. I too have a claim in for 19 months now. They have a copy of my DD214,MOS,medals and awards, proof that I was on ground in Viet Mam. The 1-800 number said no one has even looked at my claim for over 60 days.
  14. I just recieved a letter from the NVLSP Nehmer Lawsuit Division. They claim to be a nonprofit organization . They claim they may be able to help me get more money on my agent orange ischemic heart disease claim which the VA already is paying me for.The NVLSP claims the VA may may not have paid me enough back pay on this claim. Anyone out there had any connection with this organization? I am at 70% now and waiting on the VA to decide on my claims on individual unemployability,PTSD, carotid artery stenosis, and chronic depression. I started these claims this March. I do not want to get involved with the NVLSP if it will slow down these claims. Should I wait until these claims are taken care before I get in touch with the NVLSP, or forget about the NVLSP totally ?
